GENRE SHIFT

1. Editing Requirements - Participants must use Laptop-based editing
software only. • Mobile editing applications are strictly prohibited• Any
professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro,
etc.) is allowed.
2. Clip & Genre Assignment - The entire movie footage and target genre will
be provided on the spot. • The movie footage and assigned genre will be
determined through a random spin wheel selection. • Participants must
transform the given movie into the assigned genre. • No external video
footage is allowed.
3. Time Limit • Total editing time: 3 hours. • Late submissions will not be
accepted. Output Duration • The final edited video must have a duration of
at least 60 seconds and no longer than 3 minutes. • The final output must
be uploaded using the link provided by the organizers.
4. Judging Criteria - Creativity in genre transformation • Editing precision &
storytelling • Sound design & music usage • Color grading & visual tone •
Overall cinematic impact.
5. Submission Format - Format: MP4 • Resolution: 1080p (recommended) •
Naming format: Name_GenreShift.mp4.
6. Disqualification - Use of mobile editing apps • Plagiarism • External
assistance • Failure to follow time or format guidelines.
7. Judges decision are final.
